Open Call: Mas ar y Maes with Pride new commissions

Are you an individual, artist or arts co-op who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community in Wales?

Are you practising or planning to practise your creative work through the medium of Welsh?

Have a new idea for a new and exciting performance, exhibition or event?

If so, this is the opportunity for you!

Mas ar y Maes with Pride is looking to commission 5 new and exciting pieces of artwork for display at various festivals in summer 2023!

The Mas ar y Maes with Pride network is a community of freelance organisations and partners, committed to creating a long-term project that will act as a catalyst for LGBTQ+ creatives working in the Welsh language.

The partnership between Stonewall Cymru and the National Eisteddfod continues to grow since the success of Mas ar y Maes' first programme in 2018 and over the past year, new strategic partnerships have been established between Mas ar y Maes and other organisations and freelancers who share the same objectives of increasing work by and developing LGBTQ+ audiences through the medium of Welsh.

At least one commission will be awarded to a person of colour / minority / majority global ethnic background, and at least one commission will be given to a project that provides focus and engagement with the community and community groups.

Closing date: 9am, 20 February 2023.
