The First Minister will lead Wales in a moment of reflection on 21 October to mark the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan tragedy, attending the official remembrance event with the Deputy First Minister Sioned Williams MS, Aberfan Trustees and community representatives.
The 1966 disaster claimed 144 lives, including 116 children, and organisations across Wales are invited to observe a minute’s silence at 9.15am in a way that is appropriate to them.
