The UK Transition period will end on 1 January 2021. Businesses working with chemicals need to ensure they are prepared for the end of the transition period.
The most up to date guidance on how businesses based in Great Britain and Northern Ireland can prepare for the end of the transition period is available on the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) webpages including:
- the BPR (authorisation of biocidal substances and products) regime
- the CLP (classification, labelling and packaging of substances and chemicals) regime
- the PIC (prior informed consent) regime
- the UK REACH (registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals) regime
The GB guidance for the PPP (Pesticides or Plant Protection Products) regime remains valid. Further updates to the PPP guidance will be published shortly.
