Updated Guidance: National accreditation logo and symbols

office colleagues looking at a lap top

The updated publication sets out the conditions that organisations must follow if they wish to use the UKAS (the UK national accreditation body) logo and accreditation symbols. It is intended for organisations working in calibration, testing, inspection and certification of systems, products and personnel.

If you wish to use the words ‘accreditation’, ‘accredit’, ‘accredited’ or ‘accrediting’ in your company, LLP or business name, you will need to obtain prior approval from the Secretary of State for the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
