World Food Day 2024

Map of the world with different food

World Food Day takes place on 16 October 2024.

Governments, the private sector, farmers, academia, civil society and individuals need to work together to ensure a greater variety of nutritious, affordable, accessible, safe, and sustainable foods in order to achieve food security and healthy diets for all.

The private sector in all its forms plays an essential role in shaping the food environment towards affordable, healthy diets and ultimately contributing to a better future for all. Whether you’re a food manufacturer, food retailer, financial institution, a media company, small- or medium-sized enterprise (SME), you can make a difference, regardless of the size of your business – start with these actions: What can private sector do | World Food Day | Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (fao.org)
