Around a third of the food produced globally is lost or wasted and it’s having a real impact on climate change, contributing 8–10% of total man-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
It's why WRAP & Love Food Hate Waste dedicate a week of action to raising awareness of the environmental consequences of wasting food, and promoting activities that help reduce the amount of food wasted.
Food Waste Action Week will take place from 7 to 13 March 2022.
The Hospitality and Food Service industry are being asked to join forces with citizens the length and breadth of the UK to take action on the wasted food that’s feeding climate change.
