National Occupational Standards Review 2021/22: The Institute of the Motor Industry

The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is starting a review of the following suites of National Occupational Standards (NOS) including: 

  • Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation
  • Maintenance and Repair – Heavy Vehicle Trailer
  • Maintenance and Repair – Lift Truck
  • Vehicle Fitting
  • Vehicle Recycling 
  • Autonomous Connected Electric Shared (ACES) 

 
The NOS continue to be a valuable resource to inform vocational training and qualifications, and apprenticeships. 

To ensure the outcome of the review is in line with industry needs, across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, employers, industry experts and other relevant stakeholders are invited to feed into the review in order to make sure that the NOS are up to date and fit for purpose for the sector. 

You can get involved in the project via:

  • The Project Steering Group
  • Workshops and / or interviews (face to face, telephone or Skype) on the NOS relevant to you
  • On-line consultations and webinars
