Business Wales gave me structure, my adviser kept me accountable and led me in the right direction.
Tomasz Szymczak’s had the idea to run his own household waste collection and recycling business, hoping to seek the benefits of being his own boss.
With no business plan or structure, Tomasz contacted Business Wales to ensure he could run the business efficiently and legally.
His adviser informed him on how to make the business legal with a waste carriers’ licence, undertaking risk assessments and being health and safety compliant.
After discussing start-up costs and cash flow, Tomasz applied for and successfully received the Barriers to Start-up grant for 25-year-olds and over, enabling him to purchase essential equipment.
Tomasz was also advised on ways to raise awareness of his business, EKO ‘Thomas’ All Waste Recycled, and has now started a social media account to reach new clients.
