Arc Enterprises Cyf

Arc Enterprises Cyf

Arc Enterprises Cyf was founded by Shaun Casey and Dan Roberts, who have 30 years combined experience of delivering innovative outreach training and education for a variety of communities in Wales, as well as business, PR and project management.

The business utilises a progressive, client-centred approach as a cornerstone to the delivery of a wide variety of training and support programmes, including skills support, digital inclusion, career and enterprise mentoring, vocational programmes, group training and bespoke individual learning plans.

“We deliver this in accessible and relaxed community environments so that beneficiaries can aspire to achieve their best. Currently, Arc Enterprises Cyf has a team of six directly facilitating our training, plus a further stand-by resource of over 10 qualified teachers and tutors available for multiple programmes as and when required.” Shaun Casey, Founder and Director

What they did

“After reflection, we eventually decided to set up our own training company so that we could structure programmes that would be delivered in our own unique and innovative way. One of Arc Enterprises’ current projects, delivered for the DWP, is benefiting 56 trainees with digital skills, employability and confidence training in Wrexham. Additionally, we’ve had the opportunity to offer 9 PGCE work placements from Glyndwr University and 4 placements from the DWP.”

What would they do differently

“Perhaps we could have sought support and advice from organisations such as [the Welsh Government’s business support service] Business Wales earlier than we did.”

Their proudest moment in business

“The proudest moment by far is when we see each of our trainees move on and upwards, making a real difference to them.”

Do they use Welsh in their business?

“We do – we use bi-lingual flyers to promote our business and the training, and also have Welsh language trainers available when needed.”

Describe the type of support (financial / non-financial) they’ve received from Business Wales / Welsh Government

“As part of the process of getting Arc Enterprises Cyf up and running, we approached Business Wales who provided invaluable mentoring and training support. We are also benefitting from the Business Wales Wrexham Enterprise Hub, who are providing facilities to deliver our training and support programmes.”
