A Welsh graphic design business specialising in Welsh language cards and bilingual wedding stationery has boosted sales and taken international orders since taking steps to digitalise the business.

Draenog Design, based in Llanharan, near Bridgend, has increased sales by 35%, and website visits by 40%, after implementing a digital marketing campaign.

Implementing a digital marketing campaign

Anwen Roberts, who founded the company, attended a free digital masterclass hosted by Superfast Business Wales, which covered email marketing and social media. She then had follow up one-to-one advice from a digital business adviser.

And after learning how to implement a successful digital marketing campaign, she was full of praise for the Welsh Government business support service.

Anwen said: “I left my job to run Draenog Design on a full-time basis, so I knew I had to get my marketing strategy right as the industry is very competitive.

“Draenog Design offers a unique service as most greeting cards and wedding stationery aren’t made to be bilingual, and building an online presence was vital for our growth.

Building confidence to go global

“The sessions I had with Superfast Business Wales were really helpful and have given me the confidence to continue building the business.”

The company’s recent boost in sales has seen Draenog send products across Wales, as well as internationally including New York. It is now planning to introduce a new product range.
