Export cluster programme
The Export Cluster programme is focussed on supporting and developing an increase in the export performance of companies based within five priority export sectors for Wales.
The Consumer Products sector in Wales is dominated by a wide range of small and medium sized businesses that collectively make an important contribution to Wales’ overall export performance.
The High Value Manufacturing (HVM) sector is vital as it accounts for more than half of the value of exports from Wales with manufacturers supplying products and services to a wide range of industries globally.
Wales is home to a thriving Life Sciences companies employing over 8000 people with a combined annual turnover of almost $2bn.
The Renewable Energy and Clean Energy Cluster brings together a broad group of companies operating across all renewable energy and clean energy sectors, focusing on the following areas: Offshore Energy – Wind and Marine Energy, Energy on the land, – Wind and Solar Energy, Nuclear, Hydrogen, Engineering and support services.
The technology business scene in Wales is vibrant and rapidly growing, marked by innovation, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and internationally focussed businesses.
