So far a few unexpected issues arose at Moor Farm as part of the project, because they run an all spring calving block around 300 litres of milk was fed to calves during the spring period until early July, GenoCells wasn’t available because we couldn’t gather accurate individual yield and % contribution from the bulk milk tank.
We will be sending GenoCells samples in mid lactation and averaging the litres across the herd to identify accuracy compared to traditional milk recording.
