Gowan, of Grasstec, discussed grazing management with a large group of farmers. As well as outlining how to create grass budgets for your herd and strategies to improve growth rates throughout the year such as following the ‘three leaf principle’, Mr Gowan also discussed planning and managing an effective rotation for your farm.

He also highlighted the infrastructure changes that have been suggested at Trawscoed in order to extend the grazing season and produce more milk from forage. A full report of the event will be available soon.
