The Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF) is part of the Global Britain Investment Fund, of which £354 million will support life sciences manufacturing.
The LSIMF itself will provide £60 million in capital grants for investment in the manufacture of:
- human medicines (drug substance and drug product)
- medical diagnostics
- MedTech products
They are particularly encouraging applications from companies ready to deploy their emerging technologies at scale in commercial manufacturing.

Expressions of interest should be submitted via this link Log in - LSIMF applications (beis.gov.uk) by Thursday 31 March 2022 at 12 noon.
Further closing dates for this phase of funding will be in April and May.
Phase one will be assessed over this three month period and phase two will commence in September with a similar pattern of deadlines but applicants are encouraged to apply early as the fund will close once all funding is allocated.
