small business owner, florist, using a laptop

From 1 January 2024, platforms such as Airbnb, Uber, Deliveroo and Etsy will be required to record how much money people make via the platforms and report it to HMRC. The rules have been introduced as part of a crackdown on tax avoidance by people who are freelance, self-employed or have a side hustle.
