A just and rapid transition to a low-carbon economy depends on increasing the participation and retention of women across a raft of sectors. Representation of women remains low in STEM fields, energy and utilities, automotive, construction, and manufacturing - sectors that are all critical to the net zero transition and are facing a major skills crunch as demand for green roles explodes.
Meanwhile, women remain under-represented in senior roles in the vast majority of businesses, fuelling the gender pay gap and denying organisations a breadth of perspectives at board level. Women are critical to the success of green businesses, and the net zero transition as a whole.
The Women in Green Business Awards will showcase the companies committed to tackling gender inequities as they drive forward UK climate action, while celebrating the role women are already playing in building the UK’s green economy.
There are 4 company categories, 6 individual categories, 10 sector-based categories and 5 headline categories.
Nominate yourself, your colleagues and/or organisation for the Women in Green Business Awards 2025 by 5pm on 11 April 2025.
