
Several changes to tax and National Insurance Contributions (NICs) were announced in the autumn 2024 budget, which are set to take effect from 6 April 2025, including:
- Employer’s NICs on an employee’s earnings will increase by 1.2% to 15%.
- The threshold at which employers start paying NICs will reduce from £9,500 to £5,000.
- National Living Wage adjustments: The annual revision of minimum wage rates will affect staffing costs for many businesses.
