Photography has always been more than just a hobby for me—it was something I felt deeply connected to, but for a long time, it remained in the background while I worked in the corporate world. Over time, I found myself feeling increasingly unhappy, burnt out, and stuck in an environment that was having a serious impact on my mental health.

In 2020, everything came to a head. After experiencing workplace bullying alongside the trauma of an ectopic pregnancy, I reached a point where I knew something had to change. I realised I couldn’t continue living a life that was making me unhappy - I needed to take control of my future and my wellbeing.

So I made a decision that would change everything. I stepped away from the corporate world and threw myself fully into building my photography business. During lockdown, I dedicated all my time, energy, and focus into developing my brand and portfolio. It wasn’t easy starting from scratch, but I gave it everything I had.

Since that moment, I’ve never looked back.

Today, I work as a candid wedding and empowerment photographer, and I can honestly say I’ve never been happier or more confident in myself. Through my business, I’ve not only built a career I love, but I’ve also taken back control of my own happiness.

A huge part of my inspiration comes from the people around me - particularly other women in business. Many of my closest friends are female entrepreneurs, and I find strength and motivation in every woman I meet. That inspiration shapes the empowerment side of my work, where my goal is simple: to help women feel strong, safe, and powerful in themselves.

Being your own boss isn’t just about flexibility - it’s about freedom. For me, it’s the freedom to create, to express myself through art, and to work with people who truly trust and understand my vision. There’s something incredibly powerful about being able to turn creativity into a career and to put your authentic self out into the world.

My work is rooted in storytelling. I’ve photographed over 200 weddings, and what I love most is capturing the real, unfiltered moments - the ones that might otherwise go unnoticed. It’s about telling the full story of a day in a way that allows couples to relive it, including the small, beautiful details they may have missed.

Alongside this, I’m deeply passionate about female empowerment and celebrating the female body in an honest and inspiring way. To be able to do that through my work - and to help others see themselves in a new, positive light - is something I once dreamed of, and now get to live every day.

My journey shows that sometimes the hardest moments can lead to the most powerful changes. Taking that first step into the unknown was scary, but it allowed me to build something meaningful, creative, and completely my own.
