Contracts for Innovation (CFI) helps public sector organisations find new ways to solve challenges by working with innovative businesses. Through open competitions, companies can secure fully funded R&D contracts to develop and test new products or services, while retaining ownership of their intellectual property.
Welsh Government supports this approach through the Centre of Excellence, Contracts for Innovation Cymru, helping the public sector design and deliver impactful challenge-led programmes.
Any UK-based business, research organisation, charity, or non-profit can apply.
