From the picturesque setting of Milford Waterfront in Pembrokeshire, Ellen Picton has built more than a business - she has created a movement centred on helping people feel healthier, stronger, and more in control of their lives.

Back in 2014, Ellen set out with a simple but powerful idea. She believed that nutrition didn’t have to be confusing or overwhelming, and that real, lasting health comes from understanding the body rather than just treating symptoms. With a passion for natural health and a determination to make a difference, she launched HealthAspire from the ground up, starting as a solo practitioner with a clear purpose and a lot of drive.

Those early days required resilience. Building a business alone meant wearing every hat - working directly with clients, growing awareness, and shaping a service that people could trust. What set Ellen apart was her commitment to evidence-based practice combined with a genuinely caring, practical approach. She focused on getting to the root of health issues, helping people make sustainable lifestyle changes rather than offering quick fixes.

Word began to spread. Clients came seeking support for conditions such as IBS, hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue, and skin concerns, and they stayed because they felt heard, understood, and empowered. Over time, Ellen’s one-woman venture evolved into a growing wellness brand.

Today, HealthAspire is a close-knit team of four, each playing a vital role in its success. Alongside Ellen, Jill ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the business, Natalie supports the delivery of engaging events, and fellow nutritionist Helen Brown brings additional expertise to the client work. Together, they have created a supportive environment where individuals are guided, encouraged, and inspired to take ownership of their health.

Ellen’s impact reaches far beyond one-to-one consultations. She has taken her message into the community through wellness workshops, cookery demonstrations, and school initiatives such as the FACE programme. She has also shared her knowledge through cookbooks and educational resources that make healthy living achievable for everyone.  On the edge of Milford Waterfront in Pembrokeshire, Ellen Picton has built more than just a business - she’s created a pathway for people to take back control of their health.

Back in 2014, Ellen started with a simple but powerful belief: that nutrition shouldn’t feel confusing or out of reach. Driven by her passion for natural health and a desire to help others feel their best, she launched HealthAspire on her own, without a big team or backing - just a clear sense of purpose and the determination to make a difference.

In those early days, Ellen worked closely with clients who often felt frustrated, having tried quick fixes that didn’t last. She took a different approach, focusing on understanding the root causes of their health challenges rather than just masking symptoms. That commitment to doing things properly, and with care, quickly built trust.

As word spread, HealthAspire began to grow. What started as a one-woman venture has evolved into a small, dedicated team. With Jill supporting behind the scenes, Natalie helping bring events to life, and fellow nutritionist Helen Brown joining the mission, Ellen has created a business that blends expertise with genuine compassion.

Her impact reaches far beyond one-to-one consultations. Over the years, Ellen has supported hundreds of people dealing with issues such as IBS, hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue and skin conditions. At the same time, she has taken her message into the community - delivering workshops, running cookery demonstrations, contributing to school programmes, and sharing her knowledge through cookbooks and practical resources.

What sets Ellen apart is her ability to make something complex feel simple. With a Level 4 Diploma in Nutrition and training as a Health Coach from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, she brings strong expertise - but she never loses sight of the everyday reality of her clients’ lives. Her approach is grounded in the idea that healthy habits need to be realistic, sustainable, and easy to fit into busy routines.

By combining science with a down-to-earth approach, Ellen has empowered people not just to improve their health in the short term, but to build confidence in managing it for the long run. Using advanced diagnostics and personalised plans, she helps each person understand their own body - turning what can feel overwhelming into something achievable.

Her dedication and innovation have earned recognition too. In 2024, Ellen received a silver award in the health category at the Best Business Women Awards - an acknowledgment of the hard work, resilience and vision she has poured into building HealthAspire.

But for Ellen, success has never just been about awards or growth. It’s about the people who walk through her door feeling stuck, and leave feeling empowered.

Her journey shows that you don’t need to start with everything in place. Sometimes, all it takes is a passion, a willingness to learn, and the courage to begin. From a single idea to a trusted wellness business, Ellen has proven that with persistence and purpose, it’s possible to build something that truly changes lives - not just your own, but hundreds of others along the way.
