Nathan started Rewise Learning in 2008 after his own experience of struggling at school, especially with revision. He was later diagnosed with dyslexia at university, just weeks before his final exams. With the right support, extra time and a lot of hard work, he proved to himself that he could succeed. That experience changed how he saw education and became the starting point for Rewise.

Rewise was created to make learning fun, practical and accessible for young people who may not always thrive through traditional education.

Nathan has taken Rewise from a start-up into a global education and social impact company, valued at over £1.5 million, working across the UK, Europe and the USA with global clients including Airbus and Equinor.

The company creates award-winning education projects, workshops, accredited courses and learning resources that combine social outreach with practical skills development. Rewise works with schools, colleges, education authorities, health boards, businesses, charities and government organisations to build learning programmes that inspire curiosity, confidence and ambition.

Its projects use music, technology, STEM, digital skills, arts, coding, robotics, hands-on experiments and creative activities to help young people learn in ways that feel engaging and relevant. Rewise has also created programmes around career development, climate change, environmental awareness, mental health and wellbeing, financial literacy, knife crime, youth violence prevention and social action.

Nathan’s approach is based on the belief that education and training can drive social change. Rewise aims to help young people take control of their future by building skills, knowledge and self-confidence, while also helping organisations create meaningful social value in the communities they serve.

Through Rewise Foundation CIC, which Nathan founded in 2010 Nathan and his team deliver community projects designed to remove barriers for young people & adults facing disadvantage, low confidence, additional learning needs or difficult previous experiences of education. The aim is always to create real social impact and help young people believe they are capable of taking the next step.

Nathan is also a founding director at Surfability UK CIC, an adaptive and inclusive surf organisation based at Caswell Bay on the Gower. Surfability helps people with additional needs due to disability, illness, injury or learning difficulties experience surfing safely and confidently. It reflects the same values that run through Nathan’s work with Rewise: inclusion, creativity and finding new ways to help people take part.

The biggest lesson Nathan has learned and likes to pass on is that fear can stop people before they even begin. His advice to anyone thinking about starting a business is simple: take the first step. Work hard, look for support, listen to people and keep going. Once you start, new opportunities appear, and each one helps you move forward.

His message to young people is:

If I can do it, you can do it too. Just go for it.
