This is a half day course with a separate assessment at a later date. Following successful completion you will be issued a certificate of competence which can be used to purchase the sheep dip.
If you need to buy or use sheep dip products to treat scab, lice or blowfly in your flock then under the Medicines (Exemptions for Merchants in Veterinary Drugs) Order 1998 you will need to hold this qualification. This course covers preparing to dip sheep by demonstrating understanding and knowledge of legislative, welfare and environmental requirements, protective clothing, record keeping, control of external parasites, sheep diseases and dip disposal.
