At the end of this module, you should be able to understand how resistance develops in bacteria and how resistant bacteria spread, appreciate the role of government and industry led initiatives in reducing or responsible use of antibiotics and gain knowledge of the measures required to prevent diseases or reduce their risks, measures for reducing antibiotic use and measures to prevent the spread of antibiotic resistance from farm to farms.
