Llandudno, Conwy
Efan Jones is from Llandudno, Conwy, where he grew up on his family’s sheep farm on the Great Orme. He is currently working as an agricultural apprentice and farm worker at Coed Coch Farms Ltd, gaining hands-on experience in livestock production within a commercial regenerative farming system.
Efan has developed a strong practical skillset through working with both sheep and cattle, alongside experience on his family farm and additional placements across a range of farming enterprises. His background has given him a particular interest in animal husbandry, conservation grazing and sustainable farming systems, supported by formal training including sheep shearing certification.
Alongside farming, Efan is an active member of his local community, having volunteered with conservation work on the Great Orme and supported public engagement and fundraising activities. He also plays rugby for Nant Conwy RFC, where he has developed teamwork, resilience and discipline.
Looking ahead, Efan aims to build a successful livestock farming career in Wales, combining efficient food production with environmental stewardship. Through the Junior Academy, he is keen to expand his knowledge, develop his confidence and learn from a wide range of farming systems and industry perspectives.
