Rhianydd Davies is from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, and has recently completed her schooling before progressing to a Foundation Degree in Agriculture at Coleg Sir Gâr, Gelli Aur. In the meantime, she is gaining valuable practical experience working within the agricultural sector.
Rhianydd has developed an impressive track record in livestock showing and stockmanship from a young age, initially working with pedigree Longhorn cattle before expanding her experience across a range of breeds including Highland, Limousin, Shorthorn and Texel sheep. She has achieved notable success in the show ring, including wins at major events such as the Royal Welsh Show and Royal Highland Show, demonstrating both technical ability and professionalism.
Alongside her practical work, Rhianydd is an active member of YFC, where she has contributed to competitions, governance and community activities, including serving as minute secretary. She has also represented Carmarthenshire in stock judging competitions, strengthening her communication and analytical skills.
Looking ahead, Rhianydd aims to build a career centred around livestock, combining hands-on farming with opportunities in the wider agricultural industry. Through the Junior Academy, she is keen to develop her communication and negotiation skills, broaden her experience and build strong professional networks across the sector.
