Llandrillo, Corwen
Jac Roberts is an agriculture student at Coleg Llysfasi, where he is currently studying Level 3 Agriculture while combining his studies with practical experience on both dairy and beef and sheep farms. Based near Llandrillo, Corwen, Jac works part-time on commercial dairy units alongside contributing to the family farm enterprise.
Jac has developed strong technical and practical skills through experience working with large dairy herds, including managing cows within robotic and rotary milking systems, as well as calf rearing and grassland management. He also plays an active role on the family farm, which produces pedigree Welsh Black cattle and Welsh Mountain sheep for sale, with a particular interest in breeding high-quality livestock using performance data and genetic traits.
Growing up on a hill farm system, Jac has experience working across a range of challenging environments, developing resilience and a strong work ethic. He is particularly motivated by improving livestock performance and efficiency within upland systems.
Looking ahead, Jac aims to progress into a farm management role while continuing to develop the family business. Through the Junior Academy, he is keen to learn from other farming systems, gain new ideas and contribute to promoting a positive future for Welsh agriculture.
