Optimizing maize yield and nitrogen efficiency
This project will investigate whether "L-CBF BOOSTtm," a liquid carbon fertiliser, and "Instinct," a nitrogen stabiliser, can increase crop yield while reducing nutrient losses. All fields will undergo broad-spectrum soil testing and nutrient management planning. "Instinct" will be applied to most fields, with two serving as controls: one receiving no product, and another split into control and treatment plots for simpler management. Success will be measured by crop yield at harvest, determined by the contractor's harvester and weighbridge data from trailers, along with dry matter samples taken at the digestor plant. This will allow for a clear calculation of the economic return on investment for applying these products.
