Region: South Ceredigion
Gwenan Owen is the Farming Connect development officer for South Ceredigion, which covers the area from Aberaeron down to Cardigan and across to Llandysul. She has temporarily taken over from Rhiannon Davies who is currently on maternity leave.
Gwenan lives at home on the family dairy farm near Lampeter. The farm contains 120 dairy cows and Gwenan has also built up her own flock of breeding ewes in the previous few years. She graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2023 after studying Agriculture for three years.
She is a member of Mydroilyn YFC and thinks highly of the federation from the experiences and winnings that she’s gained and received so far, particularly in stock judging.
“I’m keen to provide support to farmers and lead them through the uncertainties and challenges that the Sustainable Farming Scheme currently brings.”
