The management of natural and semi-natural habitat is key to improving biodiversity and providing and enhancing ecosystem services. Maintaining habitats not only has a positive effect on local ecosystems and wildlife but can benefit the farm too, for example, in carbon storage, improved soil structure and integrated pest management. This module will introduce methods for the management of natural and semi-natural habitats on farms and provide basic guidance for maintaining them.
