Wales Community Food Distribution, led by PLANED, is thrilled to launch its first Ceredigion food hub in July. The project facilitates volunteers to link with food producers and suppliers to have easy access to healthy and great value food.
The food hub in Lampeter will be launching on 16th July at 11am on the University Grounds. The community food hub in Lampeter will initially offer fresh fruit and vegetables with a view to growing produce range in the future.
This is the first to open in Ceredigion, whilst we continue to develop hubs across the South West Wales region.
Canolfan Tir Glas coordinator Hazel Thomas said “CTG are happy to support this important initiative being delivered by PLANED across West Wales. This will offer students and members of the community an opportunity to purchase affordable fresh and healthy food. We very much hope this will be taken up by the community, especially as we are working with local business, Six Nations Fruit and Veg, who have agreed to support this initiative.
