From luxurious camping to a 5 star restaurant with rooms and an historic inn - new and refreshed hospitality businesses have opened their doors ahead of the new tourism season with support from the EU-funded Micro and Small Business Fund (MSBF).
Sandy Mount House in Rhosneigr was awarded a Visit Wales 5 star Restaurant with Rooms before Easter and were also awarded a Visit Wales Gold Award - an annual list which recognises accommodation business offering the highest standards of quality, exceptional comfort and hospitality.
The development received funding of £260,000 from MSBF - which is funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
With a total investment of over £2 million, the old Sandymount building on Rhosneigr High St has undergone complete refurbishment to create a luxurious and contemporary venue which is proving to be popular with locals and visitors alike.
Following their first bank holiday in business, owner of Sandy Mount House Louise Goodwin, said:
"We are really delighted with how Sandy Mount House has been welcomed by locals and visitors alike. The grant has helped transform this building into this award-winning addition to Anglesey and we are proud to be partnered with the Welsh Government."
In Ceredigion, Pant yr Hwch near Lampeter is the home of Canvas and Campfires which has recently opened for business with five luxurious safari tents Seren, Afon, Aderyn, Enfys and Dyffryn - where visitors can enjoy a luxury camping experience. The project was awarded £25,000 from the Micro and Small Business Fund.
Ellie Waters, Canvas and Campfires, said:
"We have had an amazing start to the season. We were fully booked for Easter and have had great feedback from everyone that stayed. Our guests have really enjoyed the improvements to the site like our new wood-fired hot tub, where they can now sit and watch the sun go down in total luxury."
The Three Eagles Llangollen is an historic inn at the heart of Llangollen which has been thoughtfully restored to provide a new restaurant and bar for the town.
With the help of £120,000 from the MSBF, the Three Eagles opened its doors at the end of December 2018 and has gone from strength to strength since. It is already listed as the number one Llangollen restaurant on Trip Advisor with many of the customers that have already been through the doors impressed at the high-level décor and finishing throughout.

"With the help of the MSBF funding we were able to fully realise the buildings potential and create a unique destination venue which has attracted many guests. Our first Easter bank holiday was a great success with the introduction of our outdoor dining".
