Hilltop Honey

Scott Davies, Hilltop Honey was nominated for The St David Awards’ Enterprise Award and won.

The St David Awards are the national awards of Wales and are nominated for by the public. The 2019 Awards took place on 21 March 2019 at the Senedd, Cardiff.

All finalists in each of the 8 categories were selected by the St David Awards Advisory Committee; a group of independent senior figures in public life in Wales and/or previous award winners or finalists.

Scott has won the Enterprise Award. A Category where nominees have ‘achieved remarkable success in business. This may include the creation of meaningful employment for oneself and others’.

Scott Davies established Hilltop Honey in 2011 and since then the company has seen exceptional levels of growth with turnover increasing from £234,000 to more than £4m.

Scott founded Hilltop Honey as a ‘hobby’ in 2011 in the back garden of his parents’ house in Mid Wales. Hilltop Honey was successful in the first round of the Food Business Investment Scheme through the Welsh Government Rural Communities-Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union.
