Business Wales is the Welsh Government's fully-funded business support service which helps people to start, run and grow their own businesses. Our highly experienced team of advisers can help every aspiring entrepreneur take the first steps into self-employment by providing support on all aspects of starting a business, including:

Business planning and financial forecasting
Sourcing finance and bookkeeping
Marketing and branding
Laws, regulations and insurance
Legal structure and finding premises
Employing staff

Over the past three years, Business Wales has helped over 11,000 people start or grow their businesses and has supported the launch of more than 2,200 new enterprises.

Thanks to our team of expert business advisers, Welsh SMEs have been able to create 10,000 jobs and successfully access over £33 million of finance through loans and grants in a wide range of industries, including construction, retail, social care, tourism and hospitality, among others.

With regional centres across the country, Business Wales offers access to information, workshops, online, telephone and face-to-face advice, as well as specialist support.

Start-up workshops and webinars are held regularly to help budding entrepreneurs assess their skills and capabilities, discuss their business ideas and gain practical knowledge and understanding of how to start their own business.
