Event overview
Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to increase knowledge on the causes, treatment and prevention of lameness in dairy cattle. There will be an opportunity to learn about the infectious and non-infectious types of lameness in dairy cows. The focus will be on ensuring awareness of the different causes of the various types of lameness and how they can require very different approaches for control. The importance of mobility monitoring and prompt action or treatment will be emphasised.
Treatment protocols will be discussed, along with preventative measures to improve cow health, welfare and productivity.
This event is eligible for SFS UA4. If a business partner attends, their participation hours will be recorded and can be counted towards your SFS UA4 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement.
This event is eligible for SFS UA12 if attended by a business partner, a member of your farm business (or a nominated individual).
