The Rural Manager – Motivation and Teamwork

Overview:   This one-day course is designed for individuals who make up a small core team or family and builds on the individuals’ strengths to create a team synergy. The course combines trainer led discussions, theory, and group exercises.

Designed for:  Farm managers, staff and managers in rural businesses.

Aim: To provide clear understanding of the role of both the individual and the team, and develops motivation and self motivation built on trust and solutions.

Objectives: By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

• Describe and apply several theories of motivation
• List and analyse the processes in team building over time
• List and analyse the influence of team roles theory
• Develop an action plan for team building
• Develop a strategy to continuously acknowledge team roles and stages

Method: The course will present you with a series of concepts and theories along with opportunities to reflect on, discuss and put into practice those ideas.
