Ammonia (NH3) from agricultural activities has become a public health concern, it causes acidification of soil and water that can harm terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and directly damage ammonia sensitive plants and be toxic to fish. NH3 is produced from various sources on farms with livestock waste making up the significant proportion of this.
