Inspired by an experience at a seaside sauna in Ireland and discovering many health benefits, Harri Barker decided to open her own sauna business, Tŷ Sawna overlooking the Welsh coast in Oxwich.
To bring her vision to life, Harri received start-up support from her Business Wales advisor, firstly attending the Starting Your Own Business webinar.
She has since committed to being socially and environmentally responsible, and delivering an accessible service by signing up for the Green Growth Pledge and the Equality Pledge.
As well, eligible to apply for the Barriers to Start-up Grant for 25-year-olds and over, Harri was successfully awarded the grant to support start-up costs.
Since receiving support from her advisor, Harri’s vision of opening Tŷ Sawna has become a reality.
