Cwm Darran Visitor Hub

To enhance facilities at Parc Cwm Darran, focused improving both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Using feedback from users of the country park, the funding will be used to utilise a large mature oak tree which has fallen as a result of a storm to upgrade furniture within the visitor centre and around the park.  Similarly, improvements will be made to the performance and function of the visitor centre itself through reconfiguring the layout of the visitor centre, create a covered space for dog walkers to use and improving the natural lighting within the building with new windows to improve the visitor experience and reduce the carbon footprint of the building. These elements will improve the accessibility of the building and services provided, reduced running costs and showcase the potential for locally grown, locally sourced and constructed products at the country park and this trial an approach that can be tested for use at other country parks.
