IndyCube Porthmadog

The Indycube model is an interesting concept and Arloesi has been in numerous discussions with the existing directors of Indycube about the concept, the establishment of locations and experiences to date in South Wales. Mark Hooper, the Director, is very pleased to support the pilot project in terms of sharing advice and experiences of this unique model. The Indycube model involves installing working desks within the building and opening daily. To rent a desk, we would look to trial a fee of 10 per day, with discounts for weekly and monthly arrangements.

The income element would allow Arloesi to monitor and evaluate the model if it proves to be self-sufficient and capable of being copied in other areas of Gwynedd in the future. Along with desks, it is necessary to ensure Rapid Broadband connection (SFBB) to meet the wide needs of businesses, including those requiring the download and upload of copious amounts of data, such as those within the creative sector. Arloesi could experiment with an office environment of collaboration and the potential of establishing a collaborative business community within the County.
