O Ddrws i Ddrws

To give a significant boost to develop and ensure easier access to services in a rural area. The vast majority of the residents of rural areas such as Llŷn are car owners. Gaining access to services is very difficult without a vehicle for those people that live outside the main towns and villages. This causes significant difficulties for young people in terms of accessing work and training, and for those that are prevented from driving as a result of illness, visual problems, disabled people and the elderly.

There is a high dependency on petrol and diesel vehicles at the moment. A transport organisation such as O Ddrws i Ddrws, which is highly respected in the community, needs to lead the way and use electric cars in rural areas.

The aim of this project is to buy an electric car that has been adapted for wheelchair use, and to use it to transport people that find it difficult to travel otherwise in the Llŷn area.
