Positive Attitudes to Wellbeing

Positive Attitudes to Wellbeing 1

In an effort to support service users deal best with the after (and current) effects of the Covid19 Pandemic and the devastating blow this has had on their self-esteem and social activities, Upper Afan Valley Fresh Start, used LEADER funding to source bespoke training, tailored specifically for their adult service users with learning disabilities and autism.

UAV Fresh Start was set up to engage adults with learning disabilities in positive activities to encourage their social and vocational skills and build confidence.  Many of the adults and families that Fresh Start support have difficulty understanding the constant changes and ongoing requirements for caution and infection control and all of these issues have caused heightened anxiety and loss of confidence.
