The proposal is to process free range eggs from an additional 32,000 Free Range Birds. Following the success of the current venture, this is seen as the next step in the development of the business. Stonegate has provided a contract for the additional eggs at a secure price for three years. The processing will be undertaken in an egg processing room at the end of the new shed, and will then be transferred to the current egg processing and storage room across the road.
The processing room is required to package all eggs produced within the unit to meet the consumer demands, ensuring that highest standards are met and that quality of egg pallets is at the highest possible standard to ensure hitting the specification of the Egg Contract and maximising turnover.
