Wales Community Food Distribution, led by PLANED, is thrilled to launch its second food hub in July. The project facilitates volunteers to link with food producers and suppliers to have easy access to healthy and great value food.

The food hub in Tenby will be launching on 1st July at The Old Chapel, Lower Frog Street. The community food hub in Tenby will initially offer fresh fruit and vegetables with a view to growing the produce range in the future.

This is the second hub to open, whilst we continue to develop hubs across the south west Wales region.  Led by PLANED, this project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Welsh Government

Community engagement officer Anne Draper says “We’re excited to be launching a community food hub alongside the community fridge. We hope this addition can offer something different and give better access to great value fresh food for the community of Tenby”
