The launch (28 February 2020) of the 12-week consultation ‘A Framework for Regional Investment in Wales’ provides everyone with the opportunity to determine what approaches will work best to achieve growth and inclusiveness across all parts of Wales.
The consultation proposals set out a simplified and flexible framework focused on four broad investment priority areas covering business productivity, healthier and more sustainable communities, the zero-carbon economy, and reducing income inequalities for people. The proposals also include providing greater delegation and decision-making to regions and local areas and the importance of cross-border and international working in our future investments.
We are keen to hear your views on the proposals set out within the consultation document. To support this we are holding four engagement events across Wales and would be delighted if you could join us at one of these:
- 20 March Glasdir Conference Centre, Llanrwst
- 25 March Liberty Stadium, Swansea
- 31 March International Conference Centre, Newport
- 2 April Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells
Huw Irranca-Davies AM, Chair of the Regional Investment for Wales Steering Group, will deliver a keynote address at each event. All events will include presentations from Welsh Government officials, and provide opportunities for discussion and feedback on the consultation proposals through workshop sessions.

We appreciate not all organisations or individuals will be able to attend one of these events, but you may have views on the consultation proposals which we would like to hear.
