The tenth round of Glastir Woodland Creation has opened today, 16th November, with an increase in budget to £9 million. The scheme provides funding for land managers and farming businesses who wish to create new woodland. This is the largest budget to date for Glastir Woodland Creation.
Expressions of interest must be submitted by a Registered Glastir Woodlands Planner. Expressions of interest selected to progress in the application process will be offered a contract on the condition payment will only be made once a woodland creation plan verified by Natural Resources Wales is approved by the Welsh Government. Successful applicants will be able to claim in the year 2022/2023.
The Glastir Woodland Creation expression of interest closes at midnight on 15th January 2021.
