Extensive HR experience in large national and international companies directly responsible, in some cases, for up to 40 members of staff.
Successfully tendered for Welsh Government contracts to deliver the Workforce Development Programme; Investors in People; SME Equality Project and various other programmes.
On a consultancy basis, provided career coaching - working with all levels of staff up to, and including, Directors;
Been a shareholder/Board Director of a training business that we started and which we subsequently operated for 10 years until it was sold.
I consider that my strengths include interpersonal skills; leadership; customer service; networking; business strategy; and business analysis. I am well versed in a range of business matters, applying a pragmatic approach, keeping abreast of information and changes that affect businesses. I have an empathetic, yet firm and supportive approach to issues encountered by businesses owners and managers who sometimes need to make decisions that are unpopular by may be neccessary to ensure the sustainability of the business.
