John O’Connor

With 15 years business experience, I aim to help others overcome the struggles that can be presented to a business owner.

I have been the beneficiary of a very good business mentor and have first-hand experience of the impact this can make to an individual. I have been fortunate in that my mentor has become a very good friend and confidante. We still enjoy a good relationship with regular contact.

I brought a business from seed through to a successful sale. I have experience in accounting, systems and procedures, employment, customer service, gaining accreditations, succession planning, problem solving and most importantly – experience in knowing what it feels like to be in business alone.

I have experienced the late nights, the sleepless nights, the tight deadlines, the tight finances and also the good that comes with running a successful business.

I have been fortunate enough to travel internationally with a previous position and have dealt with various levels of management to deliver the product and customer service that was required of me.

I understand that the problems business owners face are not limited to the likes of poor cashflow or lack of incoming custom, problems can be that of an emotional or empathetic nature, where a listening ear helps lighten the load.

I hope to make a positive impact within the business community to help SME’s to thrive and grow successfully.
