Motivated and driven individual with 17 years sales and account management experience in the Scientific industry. Turning my skills to set up an exciting new Franchise in the healthcare sector providing Home Care Services across South West Wales. I am privileged to be part of Business Wales Mentoring and keen to help others through their business journey.

A degree in Genetics from Swansea University and experience in the scientific industry. Holding various roles both in laboratories settings and as an account manager developing business relationships with multi-disciplinary professionals including lab technicians, lecturers and Purchasing Managers.

I established Kare Plus Swansea in September 2015 as an employment agency supplying care staff to residential care and nursing homes across South West Wales. Marketing the start-up business in and around Swansea, visiting potential clients and quickly learning the market language were the initial objectives alongside recruitment of agency staff using various traditional and digital media platforms. 

In Autumn 2016, I diversified the business operation to provide Domiciliary Care through gaining registration with the industry regulatory body, Care Inspectorate Wales. Kare Plus Swansea is now a sizable provider of quality home care and companionship support for older adults with a range of disabilities, learning difficulties and general elderly conditions.

I collaboratively identify and set the holistic business objectives and provide strategic leadership to ensure the business has the infrastructure in place to achieve the identified objectives. I directly oversee the financial and critical HR aspects of the business operations whilst responsibility for recruitment, general staff management and service delivery are delegated to my senior office team.

Recently completing a Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management & Leadership, I continually challenge myself and am keen to learn new skills which I can bring back in to the business to ensure its longevity. 

A healthy business needs to be able to adapt quickly to external disruption, industrial and environmental changes.
