Malcom Duncan

With over 40 years’ experience of work from an Apprentice, to a Sales & Marketing Director, ultimately to Managing Director of his own business, Malcolm has encountered multiple challenges, which now gives him a wealth of knowledge to support any business either large or small.

Customer experience has always been at the heart of what has proved to be a successful formula. In Malcolm’s eyes that includes not just external customers, but also internal customers including staff and suppliers.

Over the last 15 years Malcolm has been based in Wales after moving her to take over SuperRod based in Blaenavon (at the time a small UK based business). During that time he has grown the business and the brand into the global brand it is today.

In 2016, after several companies had come knocking at the Super Rod door, he agreed to allow Klein Tools one of the largest tool companies in America to take a stake in Super Rod and create a joint venture, to launch both the Super Rod brand across North America and also the Klein brand across the UK and Europe. 

He is happy to mentor within an hour drive of Abergavenny, he is open to any sector. 

Malcolm has been mentoring local businesses and throughout his career he has been mentored, he fully understands the role of mentor. 

In 2012 he won the Queens Award for International Trade for taking his product abroad. In 2008 he was voted by the readers of leading trade journals Best Product of Last fifty years and in 2012 again he attained the Best Product of the last twenty years 

He is also holder over several patents and trademarks related to the Super Rod business.
