Project description:
Bryn Rovers plays a significant role in its community and prides itself in offering a place where adults and children can enjoy a fun, safe environment to exercise. 

The pitch is the main pitch for footballing activities in the locality and the club are seeking to upgrade it to make the area suitable for the resumption of football and in order to follow COVID-19 guidelines. Two dugouts and barrier to run around the pitch would allow the club to ensure the safety of players, coaches and spectators whenever they may be allowed to return.

What will the project achieve?
A barrier would allow the club to ensure the safeguarding of players by keeping any spectators and bystanders off the pitch, and it would also allow the club to better follow social distancing guidelines by marking clear zones to stand in view of the pitch.

The project Delivered:
The barriers and dugouts have made a huge difference to the pitch area and has allowed safe play to return to Bryn Rovers by ensuring social distancing guidelines can be adhered to.

Who are the project beneficiaries?

• Team coaches have agreed that a perimeter barrier and dugouts would improve the Covid compliance of the club’s facilities and encourage their safe and confident return to the club.
• The club has formed a partnership with Lles Brynamman, a local charity, whose aim is to improve the mental and physical health of Brynamman residents.  This can now resume to highlight the importance of these vital issues.
• The families, players, stewards and club members who have shown overwhelming positivity and enthusiasm towards developing the pitch for the benefit of residents from local and surrounding villages.
• In the coming seasons, the club are looking to expand to a senior women’s team and grow the number of mini (boys and girls) sides.
